NATIVITY PACK

Dear friends, for our latest fund raising endeavor for Christmas we have packs of wrist prayer ropes, nard anointing oil and icons from the Nativity Church in Bethlehem. The icons are the star where Jesus was born in the cave and the "Bethlehem Virgin Mary" is the icon of the Virgin Mary that is the main icon of the Nativity Church.

Nard is the anointing oil believed to have been used to anoint Christ for burial:

"And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head". Mark 14:3

The Nard we prepare as a blessing is poured onto the stone where Christ was anointed and prepared for burial after being taken down from the Cross. We bless the cotton wool on the Holy Tomb of Christ, and then we pour nard onto this rock and "clean" or collect the nard with cotton wool and bottle it WITH Holy Oil from the vigil lamps of the Holy Tomb.

All money raised from these sales goes to the needs of our sisterhood in Jerusalem. We appreciate your support.

For customers who purchase 5 or more packs, they will receive some cotton wool that was used to clean the Holy Tomb with myrrh on Holy Saturday morning before the Litany of the Holy Light. This is a great blessing for any household! This cotton wool will be placed in a pendant with the blessed nard.

This nard oil in modern times is traditionally used to bless people in church, before they sleep, before they start their day etc.

Please keep in mind that there are postage delays because of covid and as much as we endeavor to have these to you by Christmas, we make no guarantees. Countries like Australia in particular take about 2 months to arrive.

Please note that the prayer ropes are one size fits all and can be stretched for a mans hand.
