Gerontissa Xeni was the first abbess of the monastery St Nektarios established on the Greek island of Aegina. Personally chosen by St Nektarios, Gerontissa Xeni lived a holy monastic life and many revere her as a saint. These poems and writings are the first time they are available in English and shed light on the inner being of this holy nun.
